Amazonas
The first news of the Amazon River in the Peruvian jungle has been provided by the members of Gonzalo Pizarro and Francisco de Orellana expedition. Francisco Pizarro found out it and sent a group of 350 soldiers commanded by Gonzalo Pizarro from Quito (Ecuador) to Lima

In Christmas of 1539, they began their period to the Peruvian jungle; on the route, they found different native ethnical groups, when they traveled from 40 to 50 days, found very small towns. Among them, Francisco de Orellana made out in a place, a beautiful and voluptuous women community but very aggressive with unknown people. In this way, Amazon were discovered by him among drum noises on February 12th 1542: Since that time, there are myths, tales and legends about Amazons who originated this legendary history.

Music: The rhythm is similar to Cajada with war rhythm.
Macanas
The jungle is rich in Foliage and folkloric expression. The myths, legends, tales, music and dances remain and develop for natural action and dynamic presence of mixed race and native man. The feature of the Peruvian jungle is the exotic. The dances do not appear dissociated of their reality and respective environment. They are faithful testimony that reflect the fundamental characteristics of the environment where arise. In this way, the dance arises in the high Ucayali community in the Shipibo community.

It originated with the first Shipibos inhabitants before unifying with the Conibos, it practiced when young people had to confront their enemies or other ethnic groups like the Boras, Yawuas, Shetebos.
The young natives had to pass several tests for that they can be members of the Macaneros of the Shipibas community. After one test, they were selected to defend the honor of their lands. War meaning dance, It is only danced for native men.

Music: it is danced to the rhythm of the Tanguiño and to the sound of the Quenilla, Drum, Bass Drum, Manguare, Maracas.
Ani Sheati
Welcome Feast: This dance is very typical of the Shipibos, Conibos, High, Middle and Low Ucayali. This ceremony is carried out with the visit of a community to another.

This Feast begins with the demonstration of the Shipibos men and trained young people in different ways: rythms, jumps and movements. Then, after serving abundant Masato to their husbands, women show their physical qualities by pulling the hair with much strength winning the Shipiba who keeps standing.

After dancing and demonstrating their qualities during three days, The Ani Sheati Feast ends with a gratitude to the visitor community for that in this way, during this season the visit is returned by other community.

Music: This feast has a ritual rhythm and incomparable skill to the sound of the Quenilla, Drum, Bass Drum, Manguare, Maracas.
