Presentation

Peru is a cultural, multiethnic country, with over 50 societies which are made up of our national community (language, customs and cultures). In our three regions: Coast, Highland and Jungle, there are different aspirations with own characteristics, singular customs cherished by the same blood and common ideals. The Centre of Research and Diffusion of Native Art is a Private Cultural Non- profit Making Organisation of National and International prestige. It was created in November 15th 1985 in Lima – Peru becoming in pioneering organization due to its indigenous shows about the historical inheritance of the Inca Folklore.

C.I.D.A.N. Mi Perú has a selected dancer and musician staff of different towns of our country. In our 18 years old, we have been in great part of our sacred Peru as Ayacucho, Trujillo, Chiclayo, A requipa, Tacna, Tumbes, Ica, Puno, Cañete, Iquitos, Pucallpa, Tarapoto and in our Cultural Heritage of the Humanity “Cusco’’ where C.I.D.A.N. Mi Peru for third consecutive time became in National and International Tri Champion of Music and Dance in Sol Inti Raymi Festival being awarded the highest honor, the Golden Pachakuti.

We also went to great part of South America as Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil displaying in the best International Folklore Festivals and concert halls receiving the best praises, scholar commentaries of Traditional Art, the Press, and Television.

C.I.D.A.N. Mi Perú, Cultural Heritage of the Millenarian Peru is run by the teacher Anita Zapata Flores, the great folklorist, diffuser, researcher driving force behind the Peruvian folklore. She is 15 years of artistic career (choreographer, dancer, musician) and has received countless medals in Latino American and Europe for her wonderful experience for the good of the indigenous traditional values.

In 2002, C.I.D.A.N. Mi Perú members toured for first time around Europe invited by International Pyrenees - France Festival (France, Belgium, Spain, and Holland) representing to our sacred country Peru in a 95 days extensive tour in Spain and France. In January and February 2003- 2006, we toured throughout the south of Chile: Antofagasta, Iquique, Arica, Valparaíso, Santiago, Rancagua, Talta, Vallenar, La Serena.

We also went on a tour in Ecuador; then, came back to Brazil where significance acknowledgments have been received by us in the international encounters and festivals of Latin American folklore.

For that purpose, we put our job (Peruvian Traditional Indigenous shows, private and state institution, international festivals of world folklore at the public’s disposal.
